DESCRIPTION: Spaghetti squash is best known for its unique flesh that separates into long, translucent strings that resemble angel hair pasta. When cooked, the texture of the squash is tender with a slight crunch and offers a very mild flavor. Spaghetti squash is easy to grow and provides a wealth of essential nutrients, such as vitamins A and C. The plant is a low maintence and high yielding vine with a sturdy upright habit; can be trellised. You can expect 5-7 squash per plant that can weigh up to 3.1 kg (7 lbs.). Spaghetti squash have a thick cylindrical or oblong smooth shape and a hard shell that is ivory and changes to yellow when mature. Harvest before frost. Can be stored up to 4 months.
