Planning in Spring for a Full Season

Trees are in full leaf and blooms are a plenty in Calgary. Yes, it’s spring! There should be no more chance of frost!!! But this is Calgary.... This is a great time to start planting your garden, and ordering plants online.

But remember – the lure of spring flowers may be strong, but it’s important to think ahead. With some planning, you can enjoy the colours and scents of beautiful flowers from May to October.

Here are some tips for season-long beauty:

Choose flowers that bloom at different times, like early flowering annuals and perennials, summer-blooming coneflowers and the late-blossoming chrysanthemum.

  • Choose plants with interesting foliage for times when there are fewer flowers in the beds – and try to vary the colour, shape and texture of leaves.
  • Choose trees and shrubs with interesting bark for some winter interest.

We had a misunderstanding with our supplier of annuals, including hanging baskets, patio planters and containers, and bedding plants - we have taken them off the site temporarily as they did not supply us with the ones that were originally ordered. We are hoping to get the ones we have available back on the website very soon but without anymore errors!

Here are Calgary Plants we bring you a huge selection of beautiful, healthy plants – all available to order online for delivery right to your door. It couldn’t be easier or more convenient!

We are still about one week behind schedual due to our overwhelming pre-orders and our continuous demand but hope to be caught up within the week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to get everyone delivered very soon. We did have a server issue which caused some orders to fall through the cracks, if you have pre-ordered and still have not recieved your order please contact us immediately so we can get your order to you. If you are one of our customers waiting I apologize for this as we want to get your plants to you as bad as you want them.
